The Tin Roof Blow Down by James Lee Burke

The Tin Roof Blow Down by James Lee Burke is set in New Orleans as hurricane Katrina unleashes and is part of the Dave Robicheaux Series

Perhaps James Lee Burke is a poet? He writes like one. His imagery is spellbinding and draws you in.

The book opens with a returned veteran daydreaming about a war memory from Viet Nam, relieved that the suffering is over: then Katrina strikes.

Burke creates interesting contradictory characters. Good ones live with evil. Evil ones do good.

James Lee Burke is a name you need to write down and remember. Read his books; they are extraordinary.
