The Other Child by Charlotte Link

The Other Child by Charlotte Link is a very interesting mystery set in England.

Written by a German author and translated into English, it has sold15 million copies in Germany since publication in 2009.

The setting for this mystery is Scarborough on the English coast, it’s about small town life, gossip and old family secrets. The residents all seem to have something to hide.

A young student is brutally murdered and suspicion falls on various members of the community. The Police investigation is frustrating as they have no motive and no leads.

When a second murder occurs the police are determined to find the killer before they kill again.

This is a well written novel and kept me trying to guess “who did it?” Hopefully more of her books will be released for the English market

A satisfying read.
