Author Review: Douglas Clark

The SMSA has in its collection, books by several authors whose books are no longer in print. Some of these, in my opinion, are well worth reading. Among these are the mystery novels of Douglas Malcolm Jackson Clark.

Douglas Clark was born in 1919 and died in 1993. He was educated at the University of London and during WWII he served with the Royal Horse Artillery.

The books I have enjoyed reading are about ‘George Masters’ of Scotland Yard. The cases he, and his team deal with, usually have a scientific background to them. The SMSA used to have all the books in this series but, unfortunately, some of them are no longer in the Library. Douglas Clark also wrote as ‘James Ditton’ and there is also one Novel written as ‘Peter Hosier’.
