Investing in times of volatility

Presented by Julia Lee, equities analyst with Bell Direct & head media presenter at Desktop Broking

The Australian sharemarket has been a roller coaster ride in 2015. Volatility can often be good news for traders but difficult for investors. Julia Lee runs through strategies to deal with times of heightened volatility and what to expect in the new year.

Julia Lee provides financial commentary to SKY News, SKY Business Channel, Bloomberg, ABC radio and on the internet.

Julia has many years of experience in financial markets and previously was Head of Fundamental Analysis for a leading sharemarket educator as well as running investor education for an Australian bank.

She hosts shares sessions of ‘Your Money, Your Call’ on the SKY Business Channel, and is a regular contributor to industry publications and is a frequent speaker at the ASX Investor Hours, Australian Technical Analysts Association and CPA Australia conferences.

After the presentation the group discusses branch issues and meets informally over coffee, for which there is a $2pp charge. The Forum offers the opportunity to discuss your portfolio and current investment ideas with other members. This meeting is led by convenor John Upton.
