John Huston’s The Maltese Falcon (1941)

Part of SMSA’s Airtight Alibi Mystery & Crime Festival 2018.     Find out more

Join us for a special screening of John Huston’s 1941 film-noir classic, The Maltese Falcon, as part of our first ever Mystery & Crime Festival.

Humprey Bogart is as hard-boiled as they get as the dashing private investigator Sam Spade who is approached by Miss Wonderly, who hires him to follow her ex-lover. Spade is suspicious, but accepts because the money is so good.

What follows is a series of murders, corruption and uncertainty all tied up in a classic web of mystery and deceit, leading to a particularly coveted prize: a golden, jewelled Maltese Falcon statue.
