Poetry at SMSA — The Poems of Alice

Tom Keneally Centre Reading

A master of parody and nonsense poems, Lewis Carroll wove many poems and songs into his beloved Alice novels from the Duchess’s Lullaby (‘Speak roughly to your little boy’) and You are Old Father Williams, to The Walrus and the Carpenter and the incomparable Jabberwocky.

Come along to hear the Poetry at SMSA group read a selection  of the poems from Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

The Poetry at SMSA group has been meeting monthly since 2008. For the last six years, they have also delighted members by giving several popular readings of poetry a year — a tradition that we are delighted to continue in 2019.
