An Innovation and Programs Committee Initiative
Dementia is the third leading cause of death and disability in Australia and, as our population ages, will be the public health issue of the 21st century.
Whilst dementia is not a normal part of aging, the risk does increase as we get older. Current research indicates the changes to the brain begin around 20 years before the symptoms begin to show.
Dr Ling Ronnebeck will discuss brain functioning and the early warning signs, along with a range of lifestyle factors that have the potential to reduce the risk of dementia.
Champagne and canapes will be served.
