Celebrating our 179th Birthday! (Members’ Tea)

On March 22 1833, the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts was formed at a public meeting. Henry Carmichael was the driving force and Major Thomas Mitchell was our first President. In the 179 years since, the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts has developed and changed to meet the needs of its members – but has always retained its core values. Our members are proud of the School and its achievements over the years – and today we continue its traditions.

We invite members to help the Staff and Board celebrate the School’s 179th anniversary with cake and tea on Thursday 22 March 2012 at 2:30pm.

MEMBERS ONLY. Numbers are limited.
RSVP to the Library on 02 9262 7300.
