Bushwalking & the Great Outdoors for Everyone

The Good Life Series

Join passionate bushwalkers Matt McClelland from the National Parks Association of NSW to discover the many ways we can all enjoy the Great Outdoors.

Australians love bushwalking, with over 27% of people getting out for a healthy, fun stroll in nature, at least occasionally. That’s more Aussies than those who play organised sports like soccer or cricket!

We all know that bushwalking is healthy and fun, but there are many ways to do it.  For instance, you can bushwalk the 260km from Sydney to Newcastle, for instance, as day walks, camping in a tent  – or even staying B&Bs. However, there are many less challenging walks, and considerable work has been done to improve access to bushwalking for older people and people with disability.

Learn about ways to have an unforgettable fun and relaxing bushwalking experience while increasing your knowledge about Australian wildlife, environment, culture and heritage.

The best way to learn and appreciate the environment is to have fun while you’re in it.
