Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Utopic or dystopic?
This foreboding depiction of humanity’s potential future emphasizes the bliss in ignorance, and crafts an eerily appealing society where everybody is happy – all the time.
But this isn’t the case for the “savages”, who champion the desire for a multifaceted human experience laden with the suffering concomitant with a natural existence. An interesting array of characters float throughout the novel, each providing insight into the nature of humanity if we continue on the road to technocracy.
