The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts will be held in the Henry Carmichael Theatre, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney on Tuesday 15 March 2022, commencing at 12:30pm. Capacity restrictions and COVID-19 safety requirements will be in place. Registration to attend is essential and will open on 8 March 2022 – more information to follow (smsa.org.au).

BUSINESS OF THE MEETING

  • To elect six (6) directors
  • To receive the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for the year ending
    31 December 2021
  • To appoint Auditors for 2022
  • To consider any nominations for Life Membership

Members desiring to bring any business before the Annual General Meeting must give notice in writing of that business to the Secretary by the close of business, Tuesday
1 March 2022. The notice must be signed by not less than three members qualified to vote.

Nominations for the election of the six (6) directors will open on Tuesday 8 February 2022 at 12:30pm and close on Tuesday 1 March 2022 at 5:00pm. Nomination forms will be available from the SMSA Library, on the SMSA website or on request from the Secretary.

Notices and nominations must be lodged with the Secretary at Level 3, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 in person or by post; or by email to secretary@smsa.org.au.

In accordance with the By-laws, polling will commence on Tuesday 8 March 2022 at 12:00pm and will close on Tuesday 15 March 2022 at 12:45pm, being 15 minutes after the scheduled commencement time of the AGM.
