The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts will be held in the Mitchell Theatre, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney on Tuesday 10 March 2020, commencing at 12:30pm. A light luncheon will be served from 11:45am.

BUSINESS OF THE MEETING

  • To elect the President
  • To elect three (3) directors
  • To receive the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for the year ending 31 December 2019
  • To appoint Auditors for 2020
  • To consider any nominations for Life Membership

Members desiring to bring any business before the Annual General Meeting must give notice in writing of that business to the Secretary by the close of business, Tuesday
25 February 2020. The notice must be signed by not less than three members qualified to vote.

Nominations for the election of the President and three (3) directors will open on Monday 3 February 2020 at 12:30pm and close on Tuesday 25 February 2020 at 5:00pm. Nomination forms will be available from the SMSA Library, on the SMSA website (http://smsa.org.au) or on request from the Secretary.

Notices and nominations must be lodged with the Secretary at level 3, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 in person or by post; or by email to secretary@smsa.org.au

In accordance with the By-laws, polling will commence on Tuesday 3 March 2020 at 12:00pm and will close on Tuesday 10 March 2020 at 12:45pm, being 15 minutes after the scheduled commencement time of the AGM.
