Opening Hours for ANZAC Day Weekend 2016: The SMSA will be CLOSED on ANZAC Day for Monday 25th April 2016. However, the Library will be OPEN business as usual on Saturday 23rd April (i.e. 9:00-1:00pm)

The Board yesterday noted the Draft Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 15 March 2016. Although they may not be adopted until next year’s AGM, the Board have approved the Draft Minutes being made available to members via the website now. This follows an approach from one of the members.

The SMSA has awarded a grant of $10,000 towards the Goulburn Strings Project, a musical education program that has increased literacy and numeracy outcomes for the students, many of whom are living in disadvantaged circumstances.
SMSA will be closed over the Easter holiday weekend. We wish all our members and clients a safe and relaxing break!
At the AGM held on Tuesday, 15 March 2016, Ms Merilyn Bryce was awarded Life Membership of the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts in recognition of her service to the School.
