The Mysterious Death of Mr Darcy By Regina Jeffers

Yes, The Mysterious Death of Mr Darcy by Regina Jeffers is yet another Pride and Prejudice spin-off. There is, at the moment, a deluge of books on the couple depicted in that novel. This is a very intriguing murder mystery with a strong plot, however it is marred by the sub-plot of the Darcy’s intimacies. Jane Austen created two very interesting intellectual characters, which you would not learn from this author. Mills and Boon of yesteryear would publish it in a second. Somehow this diminishes Lizzie and Fitzwilliam. The reader can be forgiven for thinking the author has not done her homework and digested the attributes given by the creator to this fascinating couple. Nevertheless, the main theme of the mystery does keep one turning the pages wanting to know who did it.
