Author Ann Howard has written four books on the history of Dangar Island and the Lower Hawkesbury, specialising in collecting the social histories of the local people.
Despite her many years of research, Ann is still finding out more about the area’s history. Just recently, a chance encounter with a 90 year old woman led her to some fascinating research into the 1890s.
